I'm Jonathan Wilcox and I'm excited to be running for Chatham Borough Council.  

 

I've been living in Chatham Borough for 12 years.  My wife Joanne and I have two children, Julia (11) and Jonas (9).  I've lived in NJ most of my life. I currently work as a Senior Solutions Architect for a Silicon Valley software company, Delphix.  At Delphix, I work with companies from the fortune 500 to the smallest start ups.  I provide solutions that help our customers accelerate their business. Previously, I worked for JPMorgan Chase as an Enterprise Architect for 12 years.  While working at Chase I served in many capacities, including managing engineering teams and developing strategies for the global IT organization.  As your Councilman, I will welcome all input in the decision-making process and promote action that best suits our community.

In addition to my career with Delphix and providing a successful support system at home, I have participated in various school programs.  I am also personally invested in, and strongly support, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation as a JDRF Advocate, the Foundation for Diabetes Research as a FDR Volunteer and Host, and the Food Allergy Research and Education organization as a FARE participant.  As your Councilman, I will bring the same energy and passion to my role within the community.

I was inspired to run because I believe that government works best when all of its citizens are engaged in the decision-making process.

Chatham is a unique place to live with wonderful open spaces and a school district perennially ranked one of the highest. As we move forward, we need to consider how we will develop our downtown, what services we will fund, and how we will continue to improve quality of life for our families, all while maintaining a low tax rate.

As your Councilman, I will continue to support the preservation of the unique character of our town for future generations and leverage my technology expertise to help support the continued growth of technology in our schools and in our town.
